I may be making a BIG assumption, but I believe that the Lord is taking us somewhere and it’s time that we take a long, hard look at where we are and or where we should be going and if we are not going anyway, then we must ask the question, What’s really standing in your way? The Holy Spirit has given us direction and instructions, but yes, the path is still foggy. Although, we may be uncertain of our destination, we must continue to move forward.  So, again the question is, “What’s really standing in your way?”

I am reminded of a message I did a few years ago entitled. “Connect the Dots”.  Remember the Connect the Dots books.  There were dots all over the page, but in the center of the page, the dots had numbers on them.  When you connected the dots by the number, a picture appeared.  Well, when we reflect on our lives thus far, there have been numerous dots scattered along our path and although, we still may not understand the true meaning of many of those dots, it’s time that we begin to envision the BIG picture.

Unfortunately, I truly believe that one of our biggest obstacles is distraction. There is so much vying for our attention.  Unfortunately, we are inundated with so much bad news that it’s hard to ignore.  However, we must pull away from the television, the telephone and texting, so that we can see our path a little clearer.  Although, our lives may look like random dots on a page, I believe that if we look closely the big picture will start to take shape?   In the midst of everything else that is going on in our lives, God was connecting the dots.  It’s time for us to live on Purpose!

We must not allow our lives to become so routine that we are just following through the motions, or have we resulted to comparing ourselves to others and now our lives seem so dull.  Living on purpose is not about excitement, but about being so close to God’s heart that we can experience the energy of His heartbeat. God has not only heard our prayers, He has acted upon them, but we may just have been too distracted.  Have we been given the DOTs, but have just not connected them? 

So, let’s take a moment to look over our shoulders and see all those DOTs, just look at the Path that God had laid for you. 

Lord, thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 16:11

God is taking us places where only we can go!  So, are we excited or are we scared? 

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Isaiah 41:10

Or is it Doubt?  But what if I make a mistake?  That was so me!!! 

But, remember, without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 

Hebrews 6:13

God is waiting on us to make the first move!  So, take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying and then, it may be time for us to be like David…. We might as well run towards Goliath, cuz we know that the Lord is with us, every step of the way. 

Connect the Dots and let Nothing, not even our Giants, Stand in our Way!
