Last week, we talked about “A New Beginning”!  So Now What?  Oftentimes, when we start something brand new, or when we’ve made a huge decision or encountered a major change is our lives; in the back of our minds, we wonder if we’ve made a BIG mistake, and that we might just “fall flat on our faces”.  Today, as we begin our lives afresh, I’d like to suggest that we try to “Fall Flat on Our Faith”!

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Psalm 139:23

The month of April marks the end of the 1st quarter of 2022.  It’s truly hard to believe.  However, it’s amazing how much society and culture has such a great impact on our thoughts and behavior.  There is one term that is looming large these days, it’s “The Great Resignation”.  I believe that people have decided that it’s time to get off the hamster wheel.  Many have decided that they prefer their virtual offices and have found that they can be more productive on the job AND spend more time with the family.  No more rush hours and long commutes.  In the process of living differently, we have been given an opportunity to birth our dreams, to push beyond our limitations, move past all obstacles and reach for the stars.

I am just really concerned that we are being pushed back to the way things were, but in my heart of hearts, I don’t believe that that is what God intended.  God has moved us out of Egypt, and He never wants us to return.  It’s time for us to prosper and flourish in the places that He has put us or possibly, the places that He is sending us.

So, what are you going to do now?  I am praying that before you go back to busy, stressed, and anxious, if you haven’t already, that you stop and give some thought to your next steps. Take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… Instead of fearing that you might fall flat on your face, try falling flat on your faith and allow the Lord to Order your Steps!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
    do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
    and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Don’t just say it, Do it…

If you fall, He will catch you before you hit the ground!
