It was early Friday morning and I hadn’t received my Holy Ghost Download for this week. I have to admit that I was a tad discouraged and in the midst of convincing myself that it was time to stop doing the podcast, because only 2 or 3 would read it anyway… and the Holy Spirit said, “if only for one”! Of course, I got up, but what’s interesting is that instead of opening my computer, I started writing in my journal that is right by my bed. The Holy Spirit does everything on purpose. On the bottom of the page of my journal was “Share-A-Prayer”.

Lord, please open the eyes of our understanding, so that we can find some semblance of order in these chaotic times that we find ourselves in. Help us to refocus on the things that are truly important. The small things like taking the time to breathe and gather our thoughts, to rest with a cup of tea and a good book… to hug our spouse, kiss our kids, play a game, facetime a friend or watch a movie, maybe even write a book, start a new business, the possibilities are endless.
Lord, you’ve allowed a pandemic that has changed the world forever. Please don’t let us go back to Egypt, to that place of stress and anxiety, back into the hustle and bustle of life before. We don’t have to wander in the wilderness, because you’ve laid a path for new things. Lord, I believe that you have given us more time for what’s really important, the small things that matter most… Your love for us and our love one for another. Lord, this is my prayer In Jesus Name. Amen

As I continued to write and wrap up this episode, on the bottom of the page of my journal, it says “you are loved more than you will ever know by someone who died to know you”. Romans 5:8
In my moment of pride, I found myself being driven by today’s culture, which measures success by the numbers, especially in the world of social media. Unfortunately, the Holy Spirit had to remind me that the Lord determines our success. So, I guess that I will have to continue to take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying, “if only for one”!
You know, this resonates with me. I think of Jesus’s ministry. Though the multitudes followed Him, He really reached only a select few. It’s like the passage where He’s addressing the multitude concerning John the Baptist, “But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.”
Matthew 11:8-9 KJV
Many may follow/read, but really – to reach the one…
