I must say that since I’ve started this blog, which is also a podcast now, if you prefer to listen, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up earlier and earlier with words of encouragement to share with all of you. You may be wondering how I know it’s the Holy Spirit. Please don’t misunderstand there is no one exact answer. However, as I said last week, if there’s any situation in your life that is just too big for your soul to handle the Holy Spirit wants to take control by giving your spiritual instruction and direction. Be mindful, the Holy Spirit whispers, He doesn’t yell, which is why He needs us to be quiet and listen.
Last week, we talked about the miracle of the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea. Now we must put this into perspective. Most of us, in the DC/MD area, are familiar with the Chesapeake Bay and let’s be honest, I really hate to cross that bridge. Well, the Red Sea is about THIRTY (30) times bigger than the Chesapeake Bay and the children of Israel numbered about 2 million people, although that number is argued by theologians. There’s one more thing that we need to realize about this miracle, the children of Israel did not leave Egypt empty-handed, which is probably another reason why Pharaoh was in hot pursuit. I’m sure that he thought that not only are all my slaves leaving, but they are carrying with them almost the entire wealth of my county! My point is that there are no small miracles. The Lord wants us to understand that with all that we are going through right now, He has already made a way for us to get to the other side!
And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked the Egyptians for clothing and articles of silver and gold. 36 The Lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!
Exodus 12:35-36

Today, I originally thought that we would discuss when all “this” is over, we will arrive on the other side of our Red Sea, but in reality, the Lord has given us the Green Light to Go! Some of us are standing on the shore, at the edge of the water, wondering whether we should take the next step. One preacher said that God is honking His horn, because we can no longer sit at what we think is a red light. The pathway has been set and He wants us to move forward, but just not too fast. Although the route we may have to take may be different for each of us, the pathway is dry and ready to be walked on, because our steps have been ordered. Now it’s even more important to listen for what the Holy Spirit is saying….
For I am about to do something new.
Isaiah 43:19 NLT
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
